Carnegie Museum of Art’s Online Exhibition Series features Rokni Haerizadeh’s silent rotoscoped painted video titled Reign of Winter (2012–2013). The film which was exhibited as part of the 2013 Carnegie International, uses footage from the 2011 wedding procession of Kate Middleton and Prince William. The artist layered components of the footage with fantastical forms and anthropomorphic figures, inviting viewers to consider how mass media influence our perceptions and interpretations of current events, traditions, and empire.
