From the Cosmos to the Commons , curated by Joanna Warsza presents a new installation by Hoda Tawakol in Stadtpark, Hamburg, Germany. Cosmic Womb reinterprets the cosmic maternity of the Egyptian goddes, Nut, who swallows the sun every evening and births it again every morning. Evoking prehistoric Venuses and adorned with stars, the installation celebrates the fecundity of the female body as a vessel of creation and transformation. At once cosmic and grounded, it offers shade in a sunlit park while calling for a revaluation of reproductive labor as a powerful, public force.
