Set in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates, this work is not about the obvious notions of consumerism. Instead it highlights the significance of malls in the country, where people usually go for a stroll, to eat, hang out, or for entertainment. With the Grand Palais-esque ceiling, elongated figures resonating with Mannerism, the 1520 style in Europen art, and an interactive cardboard to reveal Wislawa's poem, this work highlights the mall's importance for the people residing in the UAE.
