
Sohaie started as a photojournalist in 2002.
A year after, she started working as a photographer for local magazines in Iran such as Iran Economics and Danestaniha.
In 2004, she began working with the New York based photo agency Redux Pictures.
She has worked on several projects such as Women in Black, Qom at the Heart of Shia Islam, Women Influence on Iranian Cinema, Christmas Eve in Iran and Iran's Cola War.
Today, her pictures have been published worldwide in numerous magazines and newspapers such as Fortune Magazine for which she made the cover, Marie Claire, US News and World Report, La Tribune, Conde Portfolio and Sunday Times (London).
She was nominated for the World Press Photo award and followed the Joop Swart Masterclass in 2008 at that same foundation.
